These homeowners wanted to turn their old, outdated kitchen into something new, modern, and highly customized. Hollands worked with them to craft a design that maximized their old kitchen’s footprint and featured a combination of painted and stained custom cabinets.
We achieved a contemporary, classy look by using Century Artesia doors throughout. The upper cabinets we painted white, while we used stain-grade Alder wood for the darker, lower cabinets. The contrast between the uppers and lowers provided a dramatic and pleasing contrast.
Modern convenience and smart features were two other musts for these clients. First, we optimized available storage by minimizing dead space. Next, we boosted function and accessibility by utilizing adjustable shelves, under cabinet lighting, oversized drawers, roll-out shelving, and other efficiencies.
Our approach helped the homeowners achieve their vision on time, within budget, and with excellent results.
Highlights of this kitchen remodel include a large, one level island with L-shaped seating to accommodate up to five people. Large drawers under the professional series cook top in the island provide ample space for oversized pots, pans, and other cookware.
The client desired an oversized apron sink, so Holland’s constructed a custom cabinet to fit it—complete with under sink storage, wide cabinet doors for easy access, and a stack of drawers to the left of the dishwasher for excellent storage.
Holland’s constructed an “angled corner” upper cabinet with flush inset construction to prevent dead space, with a corresponding lazy Susan in the corner cabinet below.
We also included a microwave drawer, plus a servo drive pullout trash can to the right of the sink cabinet, as well as adjustable shelves and roll-out shelving.
