Known for our craftsmanship and attention to detail, Holland’s Custom Cabinets was selected to craft custom cabinetry for the remodel of a contemporary home owned by a well-known area architect in Point Loma. Our main focus was to create frameless European-style kitchen cabinets and storage to follow the kitchen’s unique curvature, including the soffit above.
Main features include a stainless steel cabinet to complement the home’s modern appliances and a kitchen island, designed for simple seating, that allows the room’s high ceilings, beams, and curved walls to remain focal points.
Lighting also plays an essential role in this space. Recessed can lights in the soffit, under-cabinet lighting near the stove, and a linear diffuser over the island highlight the room’s architectural features.
The pantry/bar area features dual pocketing doors, which create a spacious and functional prep area that can be easily concealed when not in use. This design maintains the home’s minimalist aesthetic by easily hiding clutter.
