With its aesthetic beauty and durability, Mahogany is prized for furniture and cabinetry making, so it’s no wonder these clients wanted their kitchen redo to complement existing Mahogany pieces of furniture already in place throughout their home.
Working with their designer and contractor, Holland’s Custom Cabinets coordinated tearing out existing cabinetry and reworking the kitchen footprint, making it more user friendly and accentuating their view of the ocean.
We were able to refresh their 20-year-old space with a new, beautiful design that added greater functionality, modern features, and featured mahogany uppers and lowers that provided a richness and elegance befitting this home.
The space features a custom, copper hood with a built-in fridge (with wood panels to match the cabinets), a built-in wine fridge with wood panels, and a large center island with step up serving area.
One of the top wants of these clients was to hide their kitchen appliances, such as their coffee maker, blender, and toaster—when not in use. Holland’s obliged by crafting space for a built-in coffee maker with a custom appliance garage and a microwave drawer below.
We also designed the cabinets to accommodate a double wall oven, large drawers for pots and pans (to complement their professional series cooktop), a miter-edged quartz countertop with tall cabinet doors below, and upper cabinets featuring custom LED under-cabinet track lighting.
