Village Hillcrest Medical Offices engaged Holland’s Custom Cabinets to help transform and expand their existing, busy medical space as part of new construction/tentative improvements.
Holland’s role was to work with Village Hillcrest Medical Office planners to build and install various cabinetry, countertop, and storage solutions in their doctor offices, exam rooms, workstations, and reception areas. Their goal (and ours) was to optimize functionality while maintaining a look and feel that was consistent with the space’s existing clean, earthy tones and vinyl wood-grain flooring.
We used solid, plastic laminate surfaces on cabinet sides and faces and solid surface counters and ledges throughout to ensure cleanliness and durability, especially important in work and patient areas. Low profile door and drawer pulls were used for aesthetic appeal, ease of cleaning, and to lower the likelihood of snagging clothing or equipment.
Storage solutions included closed overhead and under counter cabinets, as well as open shelves for quick access to frequently used items. One of the notable challenges we faced was optimizing storage and counter space around support beams in the large central waiting and reception area, which serves as the heart of the facility.
