Southern California GI & Liver Centers has eight locations in southern California. They provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient consultation services for the treatment of gastrointestinal and liver diseases. They relied on Holland’s Custom Cabinets to assist with custom storage and work areas solutions for their newest location, recently completed in El Cajon.
As this was new construction, we were not constrained by old fixtures or utilities. Holland’s was involved from the outset, allowing us to consult with the builder (Jacor Construction of Santee) to design and layout cabinets, counter tops, workstations, and storage lockers to facilitate efficient workflow and accommodate various medical supplies and equipment.
This was a time-sensitive project as we needed to coordinate sourcing and building cabinetry with numerous other subcontractors involved in bringing this new healthcare facility to life.
Throughout we used solid, plastic laminate surfaces on countertops, workstations, and cabinet sides and faces to ensure cleanliness and durability.
This included overhead storage and counter/sink areas with desk-height work surfaces in exam rooms; integrated benches and overhead cabinets in the laboratory and adjoining staff areas; floor-to-ceiling storage lockers for medical equipment and supplies; large workstations to accommodate accounting, nursing, and clerical staff with under counter drawers and storage, overhead cabinets, and ample surface area for computers and peripherals.
