The homeowners required a seamless integration of high-performance appliances, including a Sub-Zero refrigerator and Viking French Door oven, into a transitional aesthetic. The primary difficulty lay in maintaining the “Scribe-Fit” precision of the flush-inset cabinetry while managing the distinct material transition between Alder-Select natural wood bases and painted upper cabinets.
We utilized 3D CAD modeling to engineer custom appliance panels that align perfectly with the face-frame construction. Our El Cajon shop crafted grain-matched Alder-Select base cabinets and finished uppers in a custom “Crushed Ice” palette, accented by “Wavevue” glass inserts and a 103-inch custom wood top in the family room to bridge the two living spaces.
