Holland’s Custom Cabinets worked with RQL Construction of Encinitas to create a hub for customers and staff at this new self-storage facility in El Cajon. We also helped create a small breakroom for where employees could gather, relax, and prep meals.
RQL sought Holland’s expertise in helping build cabinetry and storage solutions that were visually pleasing, that integrated well with the facility’s unique angles, and that was highly functional.
As the sole interaction point between customers and staff, a large reception desk/workstation was needed to provide clean sightlines for receiving visitors as well as adequate space for computers, monitors, and record keeping. Plastic laminate surfaces were used throughout on cabinets and countertops for ease of cleaning and to hold up to the rigors of daily use. Gray, brushed nickel, and white finishes were selected to create a fresh, modern vibe.
The staff breakroom gives employees a space of their own. Our task was to create an area that offered maximum utility while requiring minimal maintenance and cleaning. As with the reception area, we used plastic laminate for cabinets and counters, creating both overhead and undercabinet storage, counters for meal prep, and a sink area.
