The client, an engineer with highly exacting standards, came to us seeking a flawless execution for their contemporary Clairemont remodel. The primary design challenge involved the extensive use of rift-cut white oak veneer throughout the home, which demanded meticulous, continuous grain matching to achieve a seamless, high-end aesthetic. To build trust and ensure precision, we provided a highly transparent process with detailed mockups, exact material samples, and constant communication. By employing frameless cabinetry with sleek slab doors and executing complex features like a custom slatted range hood and built-in banquette seating, we delivered a cohesive, warmly contemporary space that perfectly aligned with the client’s rigorous expectations.
