Nestled in the picturesque San Diego neighborhood of Carlsbad, this kitchen is notable for its absence of upper cabinets, instead relying on 10 large windows to illuminate the space and offer bucolic views of the lush, garden-style yard outside. The white cabinetry features a beaded flush inset design, a traditional yet intricate technique requiring meticulous hand craftsmanship by Holland’s to create such a distinctive feature. Chrome hardware was chosen to reflect light, enhancing the overall brightness of the kitchen.
A large island boasts storage on two sides, a microwave, a trash can, and a wine fridge, all designed to blend seamlessly with the cabinetry. The large custom range hood appears unobtrusive, thanks to the numerous nearby windows that draw the eye. Other highlights include an apron-style farmhouse sink, and a prep area that features an undermount porcelain sink.
